Windows Media Player 12.0.7057.0 original files from Windows 7 Build 7057.

- copy wmploc.dll in C:\Windows\System32
- copy Windows Media Player folder to C:\Program Files

It doesn't work on Windows XP/Vista!

WORKS ONLY ON "Windows 7"!!!

i don't think so... but anything is possible, just like Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP

i hope that there will be because many users are still using Windows XP and media player 12 will be a good player on that OS.

I've Windows 7 buil 7022 and I've tryed to update to this build of WMP but... when I try to launch wmplayer it tells me: "the file wmploc.dll has a version number of 12.0.7057.0 where 12.0.7022.7000 was expected.
Windows Media Player is not installed properly and must be reinstalled.
Do you want to instal the player from the microsoft website?"
Of course, clicking yes, I'm redirected to the download of WMP 6.4 :-D
Anyone have the same problem? suggestion?!

P.S. Of course, the files in the Windows Media Player folder are of 7057 too... is the folder in the archive taken here :-D
