the watermark says Build 9600 (which is definitely Windows 8.1) but can be followed by a 5 digit number which can be anything over 17031 (which is Update 1)... It will probably be Update 2 or even Windows 8.2
Unfortunately no, they said that these features, including a new Store won't be released with Update 1 Also, Update 1 has already been compiled a month ago and already distributed via MSDN and TechNet, these changes are not included
It is official, since it was PUBLISHED my Microsoft on MSDN and TechNet... I case you don't know, MSDN and TechNet are Microsoft's websites and the iso files were released OFFICIALLY by Microsoft for their subscribers, it's another thing that the files were reuploaded on torrent websites... but the content of the iso files are FINAL and REAL.
Also, the date of April 8th, 2014 is the date when Windows 8.1 Update 1 will be made available for public as an update via Windows Update (as .msu files). Trust me, the Start Menu will NOT be released on Update 1. I can assure you 100%. The guy that presented Windows 8.1's future update (not Update 1) said that it will NOT be released with Update 1 and it is NOT Windows 9 either, so that makes sense, it will be Windows 8.1 Update 2 or Windows 8.2.
I know it is, I'm using it myself and I like it way better than Windows 7. What I meant was that no matter what MS will do, many people won't even try it, because the experience it offers varies from one from older versions of Windows.
